Tattoo Aftercare

It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum results. Please read carefully.

There is minimal pain after your procedure however you may have slight swelling and tenderness

For the next few days your tattoo will be dark but will fade.

A perfection visit 4-6 weeks is highly advised to complete your tattoo, make any alterations to colour and shape once healed to give you the best outcome.

The perfection visit price is determined by how long you leave the appointment

As it cannot be determined how your body accepts the pigment more than 1 perfection visit may be required at an additional cost.

You skin will not be completely recovered for 4-6 weeks and the outcome of your tattoo can not be determined till this time has lapsed.

You must keep your tattoo completely dry for the 7 days, avoid swimming and dousing your face with water.

Do not apply any makeup products, creams or oils (other than Bepanthan) for the next 7 days

Avoid sun for the next 7 Days.

Avoid Perspiring for the next 7 days whilst you are in the healing phase as this may result in infection.

Scabbing will most likely occur. You must NOT be picked as this will result in patches

Long term sun and chlorine exposure and skincare products that contain active skin renewal ingredient will fade your tattoo.

How long your tattoo lasts is a case by case situation depending of your skin renewal and how your body accepts the pigment.

Eyebrow Tattoo

1 Hour after the procedure wet cotton pads and wipe over the brow every hour for the next 3 Hours and leave to dry heal.

Start applying a small amount of Bepanthan supplied in our after care pack the next morning after your procedure and 3 times a day for the next 7 days.

Day 1-2 You can expect mild swelling and the brows will appear approx 30-40% darker than the final result. Natural  exfoliation will begin between 3-7 days and will cause the pigment to flake away. New skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in softer and in some cases, almost non-existent appearance. This is due to the white blood cells engulfing and surrounding the implanted pigment.

Day 3 Eyebrows may start to itch and will appear thicker in texture

Day 4-7 Exfoliation typically begins. You may notice flakes of pigment coming off. This is normal DO NOT PICK

Day 8-9 Colour has finished coming away and appears softer and possibly greyer until colour clarifies at approx week 4

You may have swelling for the next 24-48hrs you can take an antihistamine to help minimize this.

Dry healing is the best method to healing eyeliner. Apply a small amount of Bepanthan in the areas that feel slightly tight during your healing phase.

Day 1 You can expect mild swelling, like you have been crying

Day 2 If you are still swollen you will find it only lasts a few more hours after waking up

Day 3 Pigment begins to lift away from the skin

Day 4 Some itchiness is normal but please DO NOT PICK

Day 5-7 Usually all excess pigment is removed by this day. Colour may appear lighter and it will take 4 weeks to clarify

Your lips will feel dry and flaky for the next few days apply the lip balm supplied as necessary till your lips have healed.

It is strongly advised to purchase and anti cold sore preventative such as Famvir from your pharmacy or visit your doctor for a prescription of Valtrex. Please start this 3 days prior to having your lip tattoo and continue for a following 3 days post procedure.

Avoid Wearing lipstick/gloss for 7 days.

Avoid hot and spicy drinks for 4 hours. You may use a cold pack 3-4 hours after your lip tattoo.

The colour will be lighter after a few days and may disappear and resurface over the 4-6 week healing period.

It is very important that you do not bite off any flaking skin as this will remove color leaving patches.

Day 1-2 Swelling, tenderness and a heavy opaque look is normal.

Day 3 Less swelling, tender and hot feeling before exfoliation begins.

Day 4 Exfoliation begins with very chapped lips.

Day 5 Very chapped lips, but almost finished the first exfoliation stage.

Day 6 A soft rich colour may begin to appear

Day 7-13 Lip colour disappears and the frosty (2nd stage exfoliation) begins as a grey/white haze on lips.

Day 14 Colour starts to bloom with more and more colour appearing each day, until 4 weeks post procedure.

Day 30 Healing should be complete. The colour you see is the end result. Your lips may remain slightly dry for a month or two, so please use a good lip balm with SPF30 and they will return to normal.

Non Laser Tattoo Removal Aftercare

It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum results. Please read carefully.

Keep the area clean and open to the air. Do not cover with a Band-Aid or anything else, leave open to air. Air/oxygen provides good and faster healing. You should not be touching the area at all but if you find yourself needing to please make sure your hands are exceptionally clean.

Keep the area completely dry to enable the scab to form…no sweating or swimming or dousing your face with water.

Do not disrupt the scabbing process (i.e. no picking, scratching, etc.) All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off, you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring.

Do not apply makeup creams or oils to the area

Once the scabbing has fallen naturally off, apply one drop Vitamin E Oil twice per day throughout the day every day for a minimum of 4 weeks, or until next lightening session. DO NOT start applying the Vitamin E oil UNTIL all scabbing has completely fallen off. It is our goal to keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off.

LIPS please drink all liquids with a straw until all scabbing has naturally fallen off. No whitening, no peroxide toothpastes.

Cut food into small bites….no biting into a sandwich. Try to keep mouth expressions to a minimum.

- It is important to the process and integrity of the skin that 8 full weeks of healing take place before another lightening session can be done. No exceptions

- Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment is a long process and patience is required. This is true whether you are choosing a lightening product service or laser.

Please be patient and give the process a fair chance to work. Expect visible and wanted results in 3 to 6 sessions.

How many sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for the desired result. In many cases only a percentage of the density needs to be lightened/removed and then we can continue the correction process by color correcting.

In those cases, where we have pigment misplaced or in an unwanted area, colour correcting will not be an option and removing as much of the pigment as possible will be our ultimate goal.

- Results cannot be foreseen, predicted or guaranteed.

Plasma Skin Tightening Aftercare

It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum results. Please read carefully.

Plasma skin tightening is performed with a device that causes gentle skin trauma to the skin creating tiny minuscule scabs in a grid…. As these scabs heal our natural fibroblast cells merge together tightening the skin and responds by generating collagen and elasticity.

It is critical that you allow the scabs to dislodge by themselves as picking will give poor results to the outcome. Scabs will come off after approximately  5-10 days and new skin will be pink.

Apply with a clean cotton bud a rice size of your complimentary healing gel morning and night for 4 weeks

you must continue to apply to assist in the healing of your skin

It is important to keep the area completely dry until the scabs have come off this includes sweating, swimming and dousing your face with water.

After your treatment you will feel tender, your skin warm and the scabs will appear darker and the day progresses the scabs will appear bigger and swell will set in. You may also feel itchy as part of the tightening process it is important that you do not scratch the scabs

Do not apply makeup or any other products other than the healing gel over the area until the scabs have fallen off.

It is very important to be consistent with sun protection you should avoid sun exposure for 3months whilst the skin is still healing to avoid pigmentation. Wear a hat, sunglasses and 50+ Sunscreen at all times.

Do not have Laser, peels, scrubs and glycolic treatments for 3months (Please check your skin care ingredients) Do NOT wax the area for 8 weeks.

This procedure will not stop your aging process, depending on your skin and your expectation, in some cases areas may need more than 1 procedure with 12 week intervals as each person’s skin responds differently.

Eyes…any treatment around the eyes will cause swelling which varied from person to person. This is normal in your healing and should last approx. 2-4 days. It is recommended that some home healing time over the first 2-3, Occasionally it is advised to take 2-3 days off work as in some cases the swelling can impede your vision.

It is also advised that sleeping in an elevated position can assist in the reduction of swelling

On the first day you can use a cold compress wrapped in fabric 10min on 10 min off.

If after 3 days you have still a considerable amount of swelling you can have an anti-histamine to assist. Keep in mind swelling is normal and this assisting in the smoothing of your skin.

LIPS…. Any trauma to the lip can encourage a cold sore outbreak. It is highly recommended your take a course of Famvir from your pharmacy before and after your treatment.
